Mounting heights are measured from the bottom of the boom. Ballet towers and Manfrotto tripod stands stand on the floor; lowhangers attach at their top to a flybar and extend downwards. Dimensions are editable.

RIGGING

Flybar load calculator

Checks entered weights against your load limits. Not a structural calculation or cable-reaction analysis. Total ≤ 300 kg does not establish that a concentrated arrangement meets a UDL rating.

Load limits & cable positions

Cable offsets are measured from each position’s center. Choose a preset or enter your own cable positions and load limits. Attachments within the cable tolerance are classified as under a cable. Co-located loads within this tolerance are combined. All attachments beyond each outer cable are also summed against the 30 kg end limit (or your edited limit). Loads within each span between cables are combined against its 100 kg limit (or your edited limit); loads beneath cables retain the under-cable check. The entire bar is checked against the 300 kg total limit. Each lighting fixture includes an editable 10 kg allowance for clamps, hooks and cables; stage objects and support structures do not receive this automatic allowance.

Flybar overview

Known weight totals include all attached items, even hidden layers, plus additional rigging and entered bar self-weight. Zero library weights are treated as missing unless explicitly confirmed here. Hanging booms include their attached fixtures at the boom's attachment point.

LumiPlot saves files as .lumiplot. To show the LUMIGENCE emblem in Windows Explorer and file pickers, install the icon once for your Windows account.

  1. Download and extract the setup ZIP.
  2. Double-click Install-LumiPlot-Icon.cmd.
  3. Save your plot as a .lumiplot file.

No administrator account is required. Open plots using Open plot in LumiPlot. Existing JSON plots remain compatible; use Save As to save them with the new extension.
